Exercise: "Medicine Ball Pass-throughs" by Sruthan Wants Abs

Medicine Ball Pass-throughs is one of the best exercises for gaining visible results for abs cuts. Using the resistance of the weight of the exercise ball make muscle size growth much bigger than exercises without resistance, and this exercise works the abdominals through a broad range of motion working the upper abs through the lower abs and hitting at all angles between them. This is a great recipe to get the six-pack abs showing!

You need to use real caution not to drop the ball on yourself. This exercise must be done barefoot because your would not be able to grab the ball safely in socks or shoes. Try practicing this one at first with a beach ball or other light ball that wouldn't hurt you if it fell, and make sure not to use a medicine ball too heavy that you might drop.

Start by lying on your back with your arms extended straight behind your head holding the exercise ball. The first motion is to raise your torso, arms, and the ball upward towards a point above your waist, while you lift your legs bent at the hips so that your feet are moving toward the same point to meet your hands. Your body will be forming a "V-shape," and when you get to the top, you will pass the ball from your hands to your feet, grasping the ball firmly in your soles, using the arches of your feet and your toes to make sure you have a safe and firm grip on the ball before you release it from your hands. Now holding the ball with your feet, lower your legs and the ball down toward the ground, lowering your torso and arms also to flatten out your body again. Don't rest the weight of the ball on the ground -- you want to keep constant tension on the abs muscles throughout all repetitions of the exercise. Next, lift the ball with your legs, again lifting your torso and hands to intercept at the top, and with your body in a "V-shape," pass the ball from your feet back to your hands, and then lower back towards starting position without resting the weight of the ball at the bottom. Keep that constant tension on the muscles! Once you are back in the original position, you have completed one rep. Repeat. Have fun! :)
